Job Summary:

The Laborer/Light Equipment Operator at Arkema’s Calvert City site is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the efficient operation of the facility. This role involves operating light equipment, assisting with maintenance activities, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Equipment Operation: Safely operate light equipment such as forklifts, tractors, and other machinery as required.

+ Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport materials within the facility.

+ Maintenance Support: Assist maintenance teams with routine and preventive maintenance tasks.

+ Site Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including waste disposal, sweeping and mopping.

+ Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

+ Education: High school diploma or equivalent. College graduate preferred

+ Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.

+ Skills:

+ Ability to operate light equipment safely and efficiently.

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

+ Basic understanding of maintenance procedures.

+ Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

+ Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.

+ Comfortable working in various weather conditions.

+ Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Work Environment:

+ Industrial setting with exposure to machinery and equipment.

+ Adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
