About the Role
GeoStabilization International (GSI) is the nation’s leading provider of geohazard mitigation services, and we’re looking for a high-agency, detail-obsessed Quality Technician to join our elite field team. You’ll be on the front lines of quality assurance—validating the safety, precision, and compliance of our materials and construction practices across challenging terrains and critical infrastructure projects.
This is more than a technician job—it’s a proving ground for future field leadership. If you thrive in dynamic environments, own your results, and see quality as a personal standard—not just a checklist—you’ll excel here.
This role will travel in the Western US.
Why Join GSI

+ Elite Team Culture: Innovation, ownership, and field excellence are the norm
+ Career Acceleration: Certification support, cross-training, and mentorship for future field leadership roles
+ Competitive Compensation: Full benefits, 401(k) match, per diem, and paid travel
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
+ Perform field and lab testing of soil, concrete, grout, soil nails, micropiles, strand anchors, and more using ASTM, AASHTO, and GSI standards
+ Monitor and document construction activities for QA/QC compliance—spotting and escalating issues in real time
+ Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot testing equipment for field accuracy
+ Assist inspections, generate nonconformance reports, and support root cause investigations
+ Create detailed daily logs, test summaries, and audit-ready documentation
+ Collaborate with engineers, foremen, contractors, and project managers across multiple sites
+ Champion safety and environmental compliance with discipline and consistency
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
+ Minimum 2 years in construction materials testing, geotechnical fieldwork, or QA/QC in a construction environment
+ High school diploma or GED required (technical training or associate degree preferred)
+ ACI certification or equivalent strongly preferred (NICET, WAQTC, ICC a plus)
+ Familiarity with ASTM/AASHTO procedures and QA/QC systems
+ Strong documentation and organizational skills under field conditions
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and cloud-based reporting systems
+ Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 90%
Exceptional Candidate Alert
If you’ve introduced process improvements, solved complex quality issues under pressure, or consistently delivered above-standard field documentation—this role is designed for your next leap.
Work Conditions
+ Fieldwork in varied weather conditions and remote environments
+ Lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods
+ Full PPE and safety-first mindset required
Compensation
+ $20-25 per hour plus overtime
+ 5% Annual Bonus
+ Participation in our company ownership equity pool
