    This position is part of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) operations and is being recruited in partnership with Winona Foods. While this role is a DFA position, the application process is managed through the Winona Foods career site.

    Summary:

    The Processing Machine Operator uses industrial equipment to fill cups, pouches, bags, or bottles with product.

    Job Duties:

    The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

     

    + Use control panel to determine fill volume and machine speed

    + Run machine speeds according to the standards set by each piece of equipment

    + Use basic hand tools to make adjustments to machine operation

    + Diagnose machine performance issues

    + Perform checks for seals and temperature

    + Communicate with Supervisor and/or member of Quality Assurance team regarding any production or packaging issues

    + Record any necessary documentation

    + Operate a pallet jack (either manual or electric)

    + Maintain a clean work environment

    + Comply with GMP standards as set forth by company

    + In the event of downtime, work in other areas as directed by your supervisor

    + Follow all safety protocols

    + Dispose of trash and cardboard daily

    + Disassemble machinery and equipment that has been used that day

    + Clean and sanitize equipment using steam hoses and various chemicals

    + Hand wash and sanitize all disassembled machinery parts that have been used that day

    + Reassemble machinery and equipment for following day’s production

    + Run CIP’s (Clean in Place) on production process lines and equipment following SSOP’s (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures)

    + All other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

    + At least 1 year of machine operating experience

    + Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and 55 pounds occasionally

    + Ability to read and comprehend documents such as batch records and control panel information

    + Ability to effectively present information to other employees in the organization
