    Waste Connections (Sweet Home, OR)


    **Sweet Home Sanitation** , a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a **Scale Attendant** to join our team in **Sweet Home, Oregon** . This is a full-time, long-term position with a reputable and stable company.

     

    This position will work Full Time.

     

    Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday** from **8:00am to 4:30pm.

     

    Starting pay: $22.00+/HR DOE.

    Responsibilities Include:

    + First point of contact for trucks coming onto our site, directing traffic, and ensuring a safe working environment.

    + Customer Service, Work with customers face to face.

    + Measure and charge for loads of trash using basic math.

    + Accept cash, credit cards, or able to learn.

    + Ability to learn operating new Equipment/ Forklift, Leaf Blower, and Pressure Washer.

    + Yard and facility maintenance including debris and clean up.

    + Learning the operations of the transfer station.

    + Spotting Trucks.

    + Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

    + Specific duties can change on the daily basis as operation needs change.

    • **Requirements** :

    + **Valid Drivers License** with Clean Driving Record

    + At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor type position.

    + The ability to continually lift, push, or pull objects over 50 pounds.

    + Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to 8hrs.

    + Ability to work in all outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.

    + Mechanical ability a plus.

    + Experience operating equipment is a plus
