Description
AWS Global Sales Operations is seeking an experienced Business Operations leader to drive operational excellence across our $100B global sales organization supporting 25,000+ builders. This role will report directly to the L10 Global Sales Operations VP and own the end-to-end business management system for AWS Global Sales, including critical inspection mechanisms, CEO reviews, and strategic operational initiatives. The leader will be responsible for delivering the in and out quarter revenue target through deep dive insights, mechanisms and looking around corners.
The ideal candidate will combine deep sales operations expertise with strong technical acumen, demonstrating the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership. This role requires exceptional stakeholder management skills, with frequent interaction with senior sales leaders globally.
Key job responsibilities
• Design and own the global business management system, including establishing, maintaining and evolving the comprehensive set of inspection meetings and mechanisms used to run the AWS Sales business
• Lead preparation and execution of Weekly Business Reviews with the AWS CEO and bi-weekly reviews with Amazon CEO, ensuring high-quality analysis and insights
• Partner with Business Intelligence and Finance teams to develop and maintain inspection mechanisms for Top Deals, Pipeline and Forecast management
• Drive product development for sales tooling and analytics platforms, including new feature specifications and implementation
• Lead global programs focused on systematic improvements to sales insights through enhanced reporting and process optimization
• Build and manage a high-performing team of business operations professionals
• Develop scalable mechanisms that drive growth initiatives and business performance

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Basic Qualifications
• 10+ years experience in sales operations, business operations or related technical program management roles
• 6+ years of people management experience leading teams in complex, global organizations
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• Demonstrated experience managing global operational mechanisms and strategic initiatives
• Strong technical background with experience in data analysis and business intelligence tools
Preferred Qualifications
• MBA or advanced degree
• Experience in cloud computing or enterprise software sales operations
• Strong understanding of sales methodologies and pipeline management
• Proven ability to influence and drive results across complex matrix organizations
• Excellence in executive communication and presentation skills
• Experience with AWS services and sales motion
• Track record of building and implementing scalable processes across global organizations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $157,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $260,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
