    A leading global venture capital firm is seeking a Fund Accountant to join its growing finance team. The firm manages a diverse portfolio of early- and growth-stage investments across various geographies and sectors, with total assets under management exceeding $18B. With over 20 active funds and multiple SPVs, this is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of fund strategies in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

     

    This role is ideal for candidates with a background in fund accounting, or audit who are ready to step into a high-impact role and grow within a well-supported finance organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Maintain general ledgers for venture funds, including recording daily cash and non-cash transactions (e.g., investments, valuations, expenses, capital calls, and distributions)

    + Perform monthly bank reconciliations and process wire transfers for investments and fund expenses

    + Manage quarterly closes for funds, including preparing financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Partners’ Capital, Cash Flows, SOI)

    + Calculate and prepare quarterly and year-to-date partner capital allocations

    + Coordinate and process capital calls and track incoming capital

    + Handle distributions (cash and stock), including detailed calculation and partner allocations

    + Track, update, and reconcile investment data, documentation, and cap table positions

    + Maintain LP records and perform calculations for interest transfers

    + Respond to LP inquiries and coordinate audit confirmations

    + Distribute investor communications, including financials, capital call/distribution notices, and K-1s

    + Support ad hoc projects as needed across fund operations and finance

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    + 1.5–4 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, public accounting (audit or tax), or a fund administrator with exposure to alternative investment funds

    + Team-oriented with a proactive and collaborative attitude; comfortable in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

    + High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize competing tasks

    + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

    + CPA or CPA-track is preferred

    + Experience with in-house fund accounting is a plus
