    **Job Title:** Production Supervisor (1 st shift)

    **Location:** Travelers Rest, SC

    **Industry:** plastic injection molding manufacturing

    **Status of Hire:** direct placement; permanent

    **Hours** : 7:00am – 3:30pm (1 st shift)

    **Pay:** $65k-$90k

    **Summary:** The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that production targets are met efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards. The position exists to lead and develop production teams, optimize workflow and resource utilization, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

    Job Duties:

    + Supervise and lead a team of production employees, promoting a collaborative and accountable work culture.

    + Manage production schedules, allocate resources, and adjust workflows to meet operational targets.

    + Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards through regular inspections and audits.

    + Ensure all team members work safely and are properly trained.

    + Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee capabilities and support career development.

    + Identify and resolve production issues in coordination with engineering and maintenance teams.

    + Maintain accurate records and generate performance reports to support data-driven decision-making.

    + Managing a dynamic production environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.

    + Balancing productivity, quality, and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

    + Driving team performance while fostering engagement and development.

    + Navigating cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement.

    + Internal contacts: Production teams, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, HR, and Safety departments.

    + External contacts: Occasional interaction with vendors, equipment service providers, and auditors

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.

    + Minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

    + Proficiency in manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP), Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.

    + Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

    + Understanding of OSHA standards and safety best practices.

    + Experience with training and development program implementation.

    + Root cause analysis and problem-solving methodology.

    + Strong leadership and team development skills.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

    + Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making.

    + Adaptability and resilience under pressure.

    + Results-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Working Conditions: The role encompasses both office work and hands-on presence on the manufacturing floor, facilitating direct engagement with production operations.

    + This position may involve working in a manufacturing environment that requires standing for prolonged periods, walking, and occasionally lifting equipment or materials. Adherence to safety protocols and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
