    Job Description

    VCA Valley Animal Hospital & Emergency Center is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency Department.

     

    Currently hiring for night shifts: shifts stagger 5p - 8a, 12 or 10 hour shift options available. Full time only.

     

    The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine & patient care—with the passion, expertise, & technical know-how to make them happen.

    In addition to standard CVT skills, the Emergency Department values:

    + Excellent Client & Patient Handling while working in a fast paced environment

    + Advanced tube placement including NG tubes, central lines, & PICC lines

    + Confidence in applying BLS/ALS CPR techniques

    + Anesthesia induction, maintenance, monitoring, & recovery of critical patients

    + Hands Free Radiology Technique for critical patients

    Compensation varies based on education, experience, & current AZ CVT license: $16 - 24/hour (includes scale for licensed & unlicensed Veterinary Technicians). Additional $3/hour stipend for all hours 8pm - 7am.

     

    CE allowance: CVT $750/year; VTS $1000/year
