We are seeking a passionate, innovative and highly motivated Senior UX Researcher to join our research team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the future of how businesses protect and manage their brands in the digital age, working at the intersection of technology, intellectual property protection, and user experience. We are seeking a Senior UX Researcher to lead research efforts for one of our core products. Brand Registry is a comprehensive brand protection and management platform that empowers businesses to safeguard their intellectual property and maintain an authentic presence in the digital marketplace.
As a Senior UX Researcher, your research will be agile, keeping pace with the rapid innovation in the team, but also making sure that we're keeping an eye on the big picture in understanding our customer groups. You would be joining a passionate research team that is a collaborative, creative and cohesive group of tenured researchers. In this role, you'll help shape the future of how brands protect their intellectual property and maintain their presence in the digital marketplace. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to conduct research that drives innovative solutions for brand owners worldwide, always keeping the needs of brand owners at the forefront of decision-making.
You should have broad skills in user research and design research methods, and a thorough understanding of qualitative and quantitative research concepts. There will be overlapping projects, so you should be good at multitasking, juggling competing priorities, and organizing yourself. Most of all, you're excited by translating uncertainty and ambiguity into actionable recommendations at a quick-pace.
As an ideal candidate, you have a deep understanding of user research methods and best practices, with particular expertise in B2B research and enterprise solutions. You also have a nimble, creative, and pragmatic approach, and you're interested in pushing the boundaries of agile research in the brand protection space. You are a passionate researcher with uncanny observational and analytical skills, an impressive ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and a relentless determination to do what is right for both brand owners and their customers. Your experience in managing customer recruitment, outreach, and relationship management is crucial, as you'll be working with diverse stakeholders from global brands, small businesses, and intellectual property professionals. You excel at building and maintaining relationships with research participants, understanding the unique challenges of recruiting from specialized business populations, and creating engagement strategies that ensure consistent participation in research initiatives.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and execute a variety of qualitative and quantitative research studies throughout the product lifecycle, including user interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiries, surveys, and more.
- Analyze and synthesize insights from diverse data sets, including behavioral data, surveys, and qualitative interviews, to uncover high-impact insights and identify trends and patterns.
- Translate research findings into compelling narratives and actionable recommendations that drive product improvements and business strategy.
- Partner closely with product, design, and engineering teams to align on research goals, inform key decisions, and ensure a customer-centric approach.
- Influence product strategy by identifying research opportunities for new and existing business initiatives, including contributions to Press Releases and Working Backward documents.
- Drive research goals and research programs across multiple stakeholders and teams, managing complex relationships and building consensus when faced with discordant views.
- Deliver well-structured and insightful reports to stakeholders, peers, and senior leaders, potentially contributing to organizational strategic planning efforts.
- Stay informed on industry trends and emerging research methods, implementing innovative approaches as appropriate and sharing knowledge with the team.
- Contribute to the strategic planning of the UX research roadmap and help evolve research practices to meet changing business and user needs.
Basic Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, or related field
- 7+ years in user experience research
- Extensive knowledge of various research methodologies and when to apply them
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive clear insights from complex data sets
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences
- Demonstrated ability to influence product decisions and strategy
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships
- Proven track record of delivering impactful research that drives product improvements
- Ability to balance research rigor with the need for quick, actionable insights
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field
- Experience with a variety of user research tools (e.g. remote testing platforms, diary studies, analytics tools, survey tools, etc.)
- Strong written and storytelling skills to effectively communicate research findings
- Passion for understanding the latest learnings and innovations in behavioral science, research methods, and UX design and applying these to your work
- Experience with large-scale, global research projects
- Experience working with enterprise/B2B products
- Project management experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $226,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
