The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

To provide a specialized image of a body part for purposes of medical interpretation.

Qualifications:

Required:

+ ARRT Certification in Radiation Technology required.

+ NJ radiology license required.

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Preferred:

+ Minimum of two (2) years of radiology technician experience strongly preferred.

EssentialFunctions:

Responsible for:

+ Providing radiographic images or positioning fluoroscopic equipment, as instructed.

+ Minimization of radiation exposure.

+ Ensuring patient comfort.

+ Selection and preparation of any contrast media used in conjunction with radiographic examinations as well as special examinations.

+ Processing radiographic images going to PACS.

+ Patient identification and indication of correct body part on all radiographic images.

+ Processing x-ray requests.

+ Assists in instruction of student technologists.

+ Is able to demonstrate the technical art to student radiographers.
