Position Summary...
The Director, Strategic Initiatives & Executive Engagement is a key partner to the Chief of Staff, responsible for synthesizing and elevating CES strategic priorities into executive-facing narratives, dashboards, and engagement moments. Unlike the Transformation team, which owns delivery of strategic initiatives, this role focuses on how CES tells the story of its progress, priorities, and enterprise value—both internally and externally.
This leader ensures that the VP of CES and other senior stakeholders are equipped with compelling, accurate, and insight-driven materials that support enterprise alignment, leadership credibility, and long-range planning. By translating operational and transformation inputs into executive-ready outputs, this role plays a central part in how CES is perceived, supported, and positioned across Walmart Inc.

Translating CES strategy, operational progress, and transformation outcomes into executive-ready materials—narratives, dashboards, and briefings that shape how CES is understood and supported across Walmart.
Driving Executive Engagement Moments
Designing and orchestrating high-impact engagement opportunities for the VP of CES and other senior leaders—ensuring every interaction conveys credibility, insight, and enterprise alignment.
Owning the CES Narrative
Crafting compelling internal and external messaging that elevates CES’s mission, momentum, and value proposition within the Walmart ecosystem.
Equipping Leadership with Insight-Driven Tools
Creating frameworks and artifacts that help leaders confidently communicate CES priorities, anticipate cross-functional questions, and align on long-range planning.
Connecting the Dots Across Transformation & Ops
Synthesizing input from across CES transformation, operations, and analytics teams—ensuring a unified, strategic, and forward-looking POV emerges in all executive materials.

Performance Metrics
+ **Executive Confidence & Readiness:** Quality, timeliness, and clarity of executive-facing materials
+ **Leadership Engagement & Reach:** Quantity and quality of VP-led moments across the enterprise
+ **Narrative Consistency & Impact:** Alignment of CES messaging across channels, partners, and forums
+ **Operational Translation:** Accuracy and resonance of transformation progress updates in strategic comms
+ **Scalability of Toolkits:** Quality and adoption of templates, dashboards, and frameworks
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Strategy, or related field
+ 7+ years of experience in executive communications, business strategy, or enterprise engagement roles
+ Strong storytelling, data synthesis, and stakeholder management skills
+ Experience supporting or directly engaging executive leadership in large organizations
+ Proven ability to align diverse workstreams into a unified, enterprise-facing narrative

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Social Science, Communications, or related field and 6 years’ experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area OR 8 years’ experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area.
