Job Overview
The Senior System Engineer acts as the senior-level engineer that supports both presale and post-sale engineering teams cross-functionally. This advanced-level role involves providing expert-level engineering solutions, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the successful implementation of AV, IT, integration , and network systems. The Senior System Engineer plays a critical role in bridging the gap between design and implementation, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities and Duties
+ Provide expert-level engineering support to both presale and post-sale teams.
+ Generate detailed proposals, scopes of work, and design packages for complex projects.
+ Review and validate design documents, CAD drawings, and material lists.
+ Act as a technical lead on complex projects, ensuring successful implementation and integration of AV, IT, and network systems.
+ Collaborate with sales, design, and project management teams to ensure project requirements are met.
+ Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing training and support to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
+ Proactively identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget.
+ Communicate effectively with clients, general contractors, and other project stakeholders regarding technical aspects of projects.
+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
+ Assist in the development and improvement of engineering processes and standards.
+ Participate in site walk-throughs, kick-off meetings, engineering reviews, and project close-out meetings as required .
+ Ensure all engineering documentation is accurate , complete, and delivered on time.
Job Qualifications
+ 10+ years of experience in the design, support, and implementation of AV, IT, and network systems, preferably in home automation.
+ Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex engineering projects.
+ Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
+ Demonstrated experience using project management software and tools. Prior experience using ConnectWise is a plus.
+ Industry certifications such as CTS-D, CTS-I, CEDIA IST and ECS-D or equivalent are highly desirable.
+ Manufacturer certifications from Crestron, Savant and Lutron
+ CAPM or PMP certification is a plus.
+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically and tactically.
+ Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
+ Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, follow-through, and continuously seek improvement.
+ Solid grasp of customer success principles with ample experience developing client relationships and working directly with clients to find solutions.
+ Passion for continuous learning and staying current with industry advancements.
