We’re looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst responsible for assisting in the delivery and support of business solutions utilizing Information Technology. This role supports cross-functional areas of our Finance department, utilizing tools and applications, such as SAP and other custom tools and applications to support this department.
Our corporate headquarters is located in Chicago, IL. Employees work three days in the corporate office and can work remotely the remaining two days of the work week. We offer 401k plus vision, dental and medical benefits, as well as a paid holiday and PTO package.
Responsibilities:
+ Manages the relationship between business partners and the IT department relative to requirements, solutions, and priorities.
+ Works with business partners to determine the alignment of initiatives with business goals and value.
+ Develops and maintains advanced knowledge of the capabilities and functions of the assigned applications and software products, leveraging this knowledge to recommend optimal solutions to business requirements according to best practice methodologies.
+ Assesses cross-functional impact of changes to business processes.
+ Assists in all aspects of solution development and deployment activities, except for coding. Emphasis will be on scope definition, requirements definition, system configuration, testing, and deployment.
+ Develops and documents new processes and solutions.
+ Performs system support activities and ensures production support service levels are met for all business applications.
+ Creates system documentation.
+ Ensures that IT practices and policies are adhered to and aligned across the enterprise.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Finance area working on multiple SAP and software development projects, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Advanced project management skills, capable of managing concurrent, cross-functional projects successfully, including those with more than 4 additional resources and more than 500 hours of effort for the total team
+ Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation and listening skills, with the abilities to communicate complex ideas in plain language and to fully understand concepts by asking salient questions
+ Cross collaboration skills
+ Strong problem-solving abilities, with a methodical and disciplined approach that emphasizes the long-term perspective
+ SME with respect to assigned software and development tools
+ Good business acumen, with the ability to separate high and low value initiatives, and articulate the difference
+ Ability to influence others, inspire confidence and credibility, and able to sway opinions where appropriate
+ Ability to work with third party vendor resources
Technical Strengths
+ Strong SAP FICO configuration skills in the areas of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets
+ Good understanding of SAP data structures relevant to the areas of Finance
+ Good understanding of SAP Finance integration points with other SAP modules
+ Able to translate business needs into terms technical experts can easily understand and respond
+ Demonstrated ability to grasp newer technologies relevant to the area assigned
+ Utilizes Software Development Life Cycle best practices to manage project activities
+ Prior experience with Account Payable automaton tools like OpenText and SAP BPC preferred
+ Knowledge of procure to pay processes and Vendor EDI preferred
+ S4/HANA implementation experience preferred
Our salary range for this role is $106,800 - $128,160 including a full benefits package.
