Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in machine shop skills, manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, and Lean Manufacturing. This role involves supporting multiple departments and participating in the design and creation of custom fixtures and prototypes. The position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing engineering, including CNC programming, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
+ Learn and back up CNC programming for machine operations.
+ Support three departments by designing in-house custom fixtures and prototypes.
+ Verify sheet metal parts using SolidWorks and AutoCAD 2D.
+ Participate in sheet metal fabrication, including blanking and forming into press brakes.
+ Involve in evaporator and tubing departments using automated CNC tube cutters.
+ Find efficiencies and cost savings within production processes.
+ Ensure parts are qualified and built to print.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
+ Experience with CNC machines and machine shop skills.
+ Knowledge of sheet metal blanking equipment.
+ Familiarity with press brakes.
+ Ability to write and understand CAR (Corrective Action Report).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2+ years of relevant experience.
+ Experience in fabrication and machine engineering is a plus.
+ No leadership or management skills required; production role focused.
+ Flexibility with experience level as long as it fits within the pay range.
Work Environment
This role operates on the first shift, with early start times and finishing around 2-3 pm. The team consists of 25-30 members, with a total of 97 people on the production floor. The work culture is family-oriented, with open communication and a collective effort to ensure alignment. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $68000.00 - $72000.00/yr.
