Job Description

The Naik Laboratory is seeking highly motivated postdocs to lead projects aimed at driving forward an original research project within the lab’s broad interests at the intersection of immunology, epithelial biology, and tissue regeneration key responsibilities include:

+ Research Design and Execution: Develop and lead innovative experiments to explore how immune and epithelial cells communicate during tissue repair, inflammation, and cancer.

+ Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze experimental results rigorously and contribute to the conceptual advancement of your project and the lab’s overall mission

+ Scientific Communication: Prepare manuscripts, figures, and presentations for submission to peer-reviewed journals and for presentation at scientific conferences.

+ Collaboration and Mentorship: Engage in collaborative projects within the lab and with external partners. Provide mentorship and guidance to graduate students and research assistants as appropriate.

+ Professional Development: Participate in lab meetings, journal clubs, and institutional seminars. Contribute to grant writing and peer review activities.

+ Scientific Engagement: Represent the lab at national and international meetings, actively contributing to the broader scientific dialogue in immunology and regenerative medicine.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

+ Ph.D. required

+ Experience working in a research laboratory setting

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between the ISMMS and the Sinai Postdoctoral Organizing Committee - UAW.

+ Critically analyze data quality and results, communicate results to scientists and lay people

+ Write or assist in writing scientific papers and grants

+ Collaborate closely with other scientists to conduct research

Compensation Statement

Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $72500 - $80000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
