    Summary

    The Arkansas House of Representatives Deputy House Properties and Facilities Coordinator is responsible for helping with the overall supervision and maintenance of all House of Representatives facilities, including but not limited to the House Chamber, galleries, offices, and meeting rooms.

     

    Functions

     

    Reports to the House of Representatives Properties and Facilities Manager. Assists daily with maintaining a secure and clean environment within all House workspaces as directed. Assists with the monitoring of janitorial staff during session. Responsible for light maintenance in House office areas. Assists with conducting periodic preventative assessments of House facilities to proactively identify maintenance needs. Serves as a liaison between the House of Representatives and the Secretary of State's Office in addressing major maintenance issues that arise. Assists with identifying supply/equipment needs and ordering, purchasing, and maintaining supplies and equipment, including aiding with the compilation of House property inventory records. Assists members and staff upon request with issues related to House properties and facilities. Other duties as required.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

     

    Ability to use basic tools and equipment to perform light maintenance as necessary. Ability to maintain adequate supplies and inventory. Ability to do light/moderate lifting necessary. Experience overseeing the work of others is preferred.

    Minimum Qualifications

    The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma. Must possess a valid Arkansas drivers license. Experience preferred. Background check required.
