Description

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Director of Finance/FP& A to join a leading company in Overland Park, Kansas. This leadership role requires a strong foundation in financial planning and analysis (FP& A), exceptional communication abilities, and the capability to drive financial insights across intercompany operations. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's financial strategy and decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of comprehensive financial planning and analysis strategies to support organizational goals.

• Oversee the creation of detailed financial models that drive business insights and support strategic decision-making.

• Implement and manage reporting dashboards to provide accurate and timely financial data to stakeholders.

• Collaborate with intercompany teams to streamline communication and ensure alignment on financial objectives.

• Supervise the preparation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Partner with business intelligence teams to leverage data analytics for improved forecasting and reporting.

• Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership based on financial performance and market trends.

• Monitor key performance indicators and develop action plans to address variances.

• Manage and mentor finance team members, fostering growth and development.

Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP& A), financial reporting, or a related field.

• Proven expertise in financial modeling and creating actionable business insights.

• Strong proficiency in business intelligence tools and reporting dashboards.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across intercompany teams.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage financial operations in a manufacturing environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; advanced degree or certification is a plus.

• Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and financial reporting standards.

• Leadership experience with a focus on team management and development.
