    Job Title: Quality Control TechnicianJob Description

     

    Monitor and review the inspection and daily quality control activities for incoming materials, work in-process, and final inspections and testing of finished products to meet specification and quality standards. Conduct quality assurance tests and inspections on products. Document and report any defects or issues found during inspections. Collaborate with the Quality Manager to develop and implement quality control procedures. Maintain accurate records of testing results and quality control measures. Ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.

    Responsibilities

    + Test and process all raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods samples in a timely manner.

    + Perform QA floor audits and analysis.

    + Document test results as required by quality control testing procedures.

    + Evaluate test results and communicate deviations from product specifications to the QA Supervisor.

    + Prepare samples of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods for microbial testing and evaluation at contract labs.

    + Enter data into various systems and spreadsheets for QA program reporting.

    + Bake samples in the lab.

    + Perform pre-op and changeover inspections, including collecting ATP swabs.

    + Enter test data and release products in the ERP (OLX) system.

    + Segregate and mark any non-conforming products.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in quality control, laboratory, quality assurance, and food laboratory environments.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED required.

    + 1 year of consistent work history in food manufacturing or quality control.

    Work Environment

    The work environment includes a laboratory kitchen setting with frequent visits to a manufacturing plant and occasional visits to a warehouse. The position requires working full-time onsite, with the first shift starting between 3am-4am from Monday to Saturday. The candidate must be willing to work flexible hours, including some Sundays. Dress code includes non-slip shoes, with all other lab attire provided. The company offers a stable industry with a history of over 100 years, having never experienced layoffs.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.70/hr.
