    Job Title: Chief Estimator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to develop precise and comprehensive estimates for environmental and fuel facility projects. The ideal candidate will generate accurate take-offs for all construction phases, detailing material costs and labor breakdowns. You will also source prices from vendors and subcontractors, conduct site visits, and collaborate closely with the Junior Estimator to complete bid packages.

    Responsibilities

    + Generate accurate take-offs for all construction phases, detailing material costs and labor breakdowns.

    + Source prices from vendors and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and services.

    + Conduct site visits and participate in bid walks and pre-bid conferences to assess site constraints and logistics.

    + Collaborate with the Junior Estimator to complete bid packages thoroughly.

    + Oversee proposal writing to ensure estimates are consistent, well-written, and complete.

    + Prepare written correspondence and technical reports as needed.

    + Participate in weekly estimating meetings and contribute actively.

    + Lead estimating transfer meetings for awarded projects with the construction team.

    + Communicate with clients, customers, and government representatives regarding project details.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in construction management, commercial construction, and preconstruction.

    + Proficiency in bidding, pricing, and cost estimating.

    + Knowledge of Bluebeam software.

    + 5+ years of estimating experience in the construction industry.

    + Ability to manage and generate project estimates for projects ranging from $25,000 up to $5,000,000.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
