Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Tech 1

Job Description

The Facilities Maintenance Tech 1 is responsible for maintaining and repairing various equipment and devices. This includes adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments, repairing or replacing defective parts, and installing special functional and structural parts in devices. The role involves lubricating, oiling, and cleaning equipment per manufacturing specifications, starting devices to test their performance, and assisting in electrical equipment repairs.

Responsibilities

+ Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.

+ Repair or replace defective parts.

+ Install special functional and structural parts in devices.

+ Lubricate, oil, and clean equipment per manufacturing specifications.

+ Start devices to test their performance.

+ Assist in repairs of electrical equipment.

+ Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, and replace damaged or broken wires and cables.

+ Replace electric motor bearings.

+ Replace, align, shim motors, and rebuild pumps and motors.

+ Assist in planning layouts of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.

+ Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic components of machine and building equipment.

+ 10+ years in commercial or industrial maintenance (Education time included)

+ Valid US Driver's License

+ Preferred: Forklift certification

+ Preferred: Aerial lift certification

Work Environment

Work on the 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, covering the entire Goodyear HQ campus. This includes the manufacturing plant, R&D labs, and corporate offices.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Akron, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60320.00 - $60320.00/yr.

Direct Hire into union environment

Yearly allowance for both tools and boots

Ability to gain an annual raise through union

Very little to no on call

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Akron,OH.
