+ Collaborate with the Deans, Department Chairs, and academic staff to facilitate college strategic initiatives, particularly student engagement initiatives.

+ Represent the College of Business and coordinate with other College and/or LSUS personnel at events such as student success initiative meetings, new student orientation activities, and college preview days for local high school students.

+ Coordinate with other campus offices, such as the Student Success Center and Institutional Effectiveness, on data collection and reporting.

+ The majority of standard advising activities and related events occur during the regularly scheduled work week, but occasional evening and weekend work time may be required.

+ Limited and infrequent travel to training and/or events at external locations, such as another LSU system campus, may also be required.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree. Candidates who have relevant experience in key job responsibilities are encouraged to apply - a degree is not required if the candidate meets the required years of experience specified in the job description.

+ Evidence of organizational skills such as attention to detail when preparing or reviewing documents plus experience with filing/storing records electronically.

+ Evidence of effective time management skills such as planning, scheduling, prioritization, and minimizing distractions.

+ Demonstrated ability to use standard office technology such as MS Outlook and Word along with the expectation and ability to learn new software programs.

+ Willingness and ability to work the standard work schedule as well as occasional evenings or weekends for events or during weeks when additional student advising work time is needed before the opening of each semester’s registration period.
