At Weyerhaeuser of Monticello, AR we are looking for a skilled Power/ Plant Engineer to lead/oversee the personnel and daily operations of our energy production facilities/assets and fire protection system. In this role you will provide insight and analysis of overall plant performance and efficiency. Your experience and expertise will ensure our operations are safe, efficient, and in compliance with all state/industry regulations. This individual/position is integral to our operation and plays a key role in maintaining, optimizing and monitoring our energy assets and associates while providing analytical oversight on plant performance and reliability.
Key Functions:
* Monitor the operational efficiency of the plant’s systems and components.
* Perform routine analysis of plant performance in key areas that can influence our overall business results
* Full oversight in the operation and functionality of all plant wide energy and power generation equipment.
* Develop, Monitor, perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure all energy assets and fire systems are functioning optimally.
* Develop, implement and maintain best practices, policies and procedures for energy production and plant safety.
* Monitor and maintain records of operational data and produce detailed reports on overall plant performance.
* Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, company & state regulations and standards.
* Mentor, train, develop, systems support staff to ensure a high skill set & compliance certification are maintained at all times.
* Must demonstrate an exceptionally strong commitment to safety and safety values.
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field.
* Must possess high integrity, initiative, discipline, self-confidence, and have a systematic approach to problem solving.
* Must be goal oriented and set a high standard of performance of self and others
* Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience with a level of supervisory experience in boiler and/or power generation fields.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Proficiency in using computer software for engineering analysis and data management.
* Must demonstrate the ability to be proactive in process improvements and have excellent follow-through on assigned tasks.
Candidate should have knowledge of:
* Safe work practices in an industrial environment
* Project management
* Supervisory experience
* A working knowledge of ACAD and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
* Knowledge of and experience leading process reliability practices
* Knowledge of or have the ability to learn about industrial process equipment: baghouse, conveyors, pumps, fans, burners…
* Past experience in OSB plant, chemical plant, pulp & paper or any industrial process plants is preferred
* Results oriented personality
* Ability to work independently or in a collaborative, team-based environment
* Continuous improvement mindset
* Effective communication skills
*Compensation*: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $106,900 - $160,376 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 15% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

*Retirement*: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.
*Paid Time Off or Vacation*: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours
