The role youll contribute:
The Behavioral Health Therapist is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who is key member of the healthcare team working with patients and their families to help manage the difficulties of substance use and behavioral health. The therapist utilizes therapeutic skills to assess patients for psycho-social and economic barriers that interfere with the attainment of their healthcare goals. The therapist works closely with care managers, physicians, nursing staff, and spiritual support for patients and families with counseling services, crisis intervention, patient and parent/spouse coping, bereavement, and substance use issues for continuity of care within the AdventHealth System. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

+ Performs intake and psycho-social assessments on patients and families and provides psychotherapy to patients and families coping with substance use and behavioral health disorders.
+ Maintains comprehensive community resources and networks to assist patients and families as they transition back to the community
+ Completes daily workflow and processes as assigned by the clinical manager or designee, ensuring all tasks are executed in accordance with federal, state and local standards, as well as, departmental protocols, AdventHealth Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
+ Facilitates age-appropriate therapeutic groups in accordance with department standard/protocol.
+ Provides family therapy as indicated for patients in accordance with department standard/protocol
The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
+ 1 experience in health field
+ Masters Degree
+ Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW)
+ Lic Professional Counselor (LPC)
+ Licn Marriage/Fam Therapist (LMFT)
+ Licn Marriage/Fam Therapist Assoc(LMFT)
+ Lic Prof Counselor Assoc (LPCA)
+ LMSW
+ Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
