RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Serves as a Level 2 escalation point for the Service Desk, providing support for a diverse end-user population.

+ Oversees the VMware Horizon VDI environment, including provisioning hosts, remediating hosts, and setting up virtual machines.

+ Performs patching, maintenance, and troubleshooting of UAGs, Connection Servers and vCenters.

+ Maintains working knowledge of ESXi hosts, clusters, and vSAN.

+ Manages App Volumes, DEM, and have applicable knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and GPO.

+ Manages the creation and maintenance of VDI Master Images - Win 10/11 base OS and business-specific applications.

+ Analyzes, develops, integrates, and maintains enterprise automation and operations based on community policies and guides.

+ Supports all aspects of the current and planned developed solutions, capabilities, risk mitigation, analysis of alternatives, testing.

+ Assists in leading the development and implementation of senior management and customer O&M and future need requirements into detailed technical solutions.

+ Helps mentor and review the work of junior team members.

+ Supports customer requirements in a 24/7/365 IT enterprise operations environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

+ An active DoD Secret security clearance.

+ An active DoD 8570 IAT II certification

+ A strong understanding in how to design Horizon VDI infrastructure.

+ Strong VDI troubleshooting skills AD/VMware/Horizon to quickly resolve outage.

We are seeking a Senior VMware and Horizon Engineer to join our team atJoint Base Andrews, MD. The position requires extensive hands-on experience with enterprise VMware Horizon VD coupled with some project management skills. This network classified and unclassified VMware infrastructure.

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $80,000.00-112,000.00. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
