    Ideal candidate will be based in the Columbus area with the ability to work a hybrid schedule, coming into the Dublin office at least 1 day a week.

     

    _What General Accounting contributes to Cardinal Health_

     

    General Accounting is responsible for maintaining the financial books and records and preparing financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.

    _Responsibilities_

    + Responsible for month-end close of Buy Margin accounting group

    + First-level review of Buy Margin balance sheet reconciliations

    + Manage team of two employees

    + Responsible for answering questions and assisting in resolving issues

    + Maintain SOP's for Buy Margin area

    + Ensure compliance with Buy Margin SOX requirements

    + Other duties as needed

    _Qualifications_

    + Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

    + 3+ years accounting experience in related field, preferred

    + Prior supervisory experience

    + CPA preferred

    + Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of operations, or business support staff

    + Administers and executes policies and procedures

    + Ensures employees operate within guidelines

    + Decisions have a direct impact on work unit operations and customers

    + Frequently interacts with subordinates, customers and peer groups at various management levels

    + Interactions normally involve information exchange and basic problem resolution

    **Anticipated salary range:** $79,700-$113,800
