    A very reputable client of ours is developing a next-generation electromechanical catheter system and are seeking a hands-on **R&D Technician** with deep experience in **ablation catheter design and prototyping** . This is a highly technical, build-focused role ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments where iteration, experimentation, and speed are key.

     

    You will work at the center of our client’s prototype development efforts, playing a critical role in designing, assembling, and iterating catheter builds from the ground up.     **Job Title:** R&D Technician

    **Location:** Arden Hills, MN

    **Pay Rate:** depends on experience

    Key Responsibilities

    + Support design and development of a next-gen ablation catheter system

    + Perform full catheter builds—from concept to physical prototype—including lumens, reflow, and polymer work

    + Integrate multiple small-gauge electrodes (42 gauge and smaller) into micro-scale electromechanical assemblies

    + Handle ultra-fine wire routing, soldering, and electrode placement

    + Collaborate closely with R&D engineers to iterate on new concepts and quickly evaluate design changes.

    + Work in a fast-paced, evolving prototyping environment with frequent changes and tight feedback loops.

    Requirements

    + AAS degree is highly preferred

    + **5+ years** of hands-on experience in catheter prototyping and electromechanical assembly is desired

    + Candidates MUST have catheter prototyping experience

    + Strong background working with **ablation catheters** and **multi-electrode designs**

    + Deep understanding of **catheter construction** , including polymers, reflow techniques, and lumen integration

    + Experience with **micro-scale wire handling** (e.g., 42 gauge) and small French size builds (2 Fr or smaller)

    + Ability to adapt to frequent design changes and work outside a rigid process or fixed environment

    + Comfortable with fine-detail assembly under microscope and precision instrumentation.
