    Job Description

    As a Quality Engineer, you will ensure the correct application of advanced quality planning and engineering practices to enhance the quality, reliability, and acceptance of systems, processes, and products. You will provide a high level of quality customer service to both internal and external customers and suppliers.

    Responsibilities

    + Monitor the performance of product quality and reliability systems.

    + Assist and coordinate Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) disciplines, including APQP, PCP, PFMEA, PFC, SPC, MSA/GR&R, Metrology Inspection Methods, PPAP, and Problem Solving using the 8-D and 3 Why methodology.

    + Generate and maintain accurate documentation related to quality, reliability, and processes.

    + Implement prevention/detection systems to eliminate problems affecting quality and reliability.

    + Prepare and present PPM reports, cost of quality reports, and other metrics.

    + Develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem solving.

    + Accurately file all quality paperwork, including customer complaints, control plans, quality alerts, and weekly logs.

    + Participate in pre-production activities as a quality representative.

    + Complete quality system audits of suppliers on-site and follow up on corrective actions.

    + Issue supplier non-conformance reports and follow up on problem solving with suppliers.

    Essential Skills

    + BS in Engineering or other technical discipline.

    + Minimum 8 years of experience in a Quality Department within a manufacturing environment.

    + Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.

    + Knowledge and experience with ISO9001 and IATF16949 documentation systems.

    + Basic understanding of performing dimensional inspections using standard metrology equipment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.

    + Experience in the automotive industry preferred.

    + Proficiency in AIAG disciplines.

    + Experience with CMMs, Keyence Vision Systems, or similar systems is advantageous but not required.

    Work Environment

    The work environment involves working within a manufacturing setting, where you will use various technological tools and equipment. The role may require occasional travel and adherence to safety expectations and company policies. Regular and punctual attendance is expected, along with maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
