    Job Title: RF Test TechnicianJob Description

     

    Perform comprehensive functional and performance tests on RF (Radio Frequency) assemblies to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards. The role involves assembling, integrating, and verifying the operation of RF subsystems, including connectors, cables, filters, amplifiers, and other RF components.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct precise soldering work on RF and electronic components, including surface-mount and through-hole devices, as part of assembly and repair processes.

    + Support the testing process through setup, calibration, and maintenance of RF test equipment.

    + Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues identified during testing and integration phases.

    + Document test procedures, results, and observations accurately to support ongoing design improvements and product validation.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong willingness and aptitude for hands-on work in a lab and production environment.

    + Ability to work independently to analyze complex test results, identify root causes of failures, and recommend corrective actions.

    + Proficient in preparing clear and structured technical reports and documentation.

    + Excellent problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to troubleshooting RF signal and hardware issues.

    + Experience with RF components, PWB, PCB, vector analyzer, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, and radio frequency equipment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience or interest in writing automation scripts for RF testing (e.g., using Python, LabVIEW, or other scripting tools).

    + Familiarity with automated test systems and data acquisition tools.

    + Certification in soldering techniques (e.g., IPC-A-610 or IPC J-STD-001) is advantageous.

    Work Environment

    Work primarily in a lab and production environment, utilizing advanced RF test equipment such as oscilloscopes and circuit schematics. The role demands a meticulous approach to handling electronic assemblies and is well-suited for individuals comfortable with hands-on technical tasks. The environment encourages independent problem-solving and offers opportunities to collaborate with engineering teams to enhance product performance.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
