The Opportunity:

* Responsible for setting up and operating straight cutting equipment (BOBST)

* Sets up and operates straight cutting equipment.

* Observes and monitors machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed.

* Performs troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks as needed including minor repairs.

* Levels the cutting by using different thickness spotting tapes and packing.

* Reviews and follows the job ticket.

* Performs all assigned work effectively and on schedule.

* Accurately follows instructions.

* Performs quality check and in process inspections, looking for quality issues and ensuring product conforms to quality standards.

* Maintains make-ready and cutting standards.

* Follows all standard operating procedures relevant to the job, position and department.

* Follows established policies, work instructions and safety and environmental guidelines.

* Completes non-compliance documentation as necessary.

* Keeps work area neat and clean.

* Trains co-workers to set up, operate and use equipment as directed.

* Performs other job duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed:

* Experience operating Polar and Perfecta or similar straight cutting equipment required.

* Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

* Must have basic computer skills: (data entry).

* Must have the ability to perform basic arithmetic including additions, subtraction, multiplication simple fraction conversion to decimal and division.

* Must have the ability to read a ruler; must pass ruler test.

* Must pass basic reading test.

* Demonstrates ability to use samples and materials, such as vinyl\u2019s, spinjets and approved samples, to verify job accuracy and quality

* Must possess the following competencies: accuracy, reliability, decision making, time management and self-motivation.

* Must be able to maintain good attendance.

* Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.

* Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.
