Job Description:
About the Role:
Join our growing APP Transplant team at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center as an Inpatient Transplant Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)! You'll play a vital role in delivering expert care to patients undergoing kidney & liver transplants and HPB surgeries. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
+ **Patient Care:** Provide specialized care, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
+ **Postoperative Management:** Monitor recovery, manage pain, and identify complications.
+ **Medication Management:** Prescribe and adjust immunosuppressant medications.
+ **Patient Education:** Educate patients & families on pre/post-transplant care.
+ **Team Collaboration:** Work with surgeons, hepatologists, nephrologists, and nurses.
+ **Treatment Planning:** Participate in case conferences and team meetings.
+ **Quality Improvement:** Engage in initiatives to enhance program effectiveness.
+ **Patient Advocacy:** Address patient concerns and ensure their voices are heard.
+ **Compliance:** Adhere to all regulations and institutional policies.
Qualifications:
+ APRN or PA with valid state license and certification.
+ Minimum 1 year (3 years preferred) experience in transplantation, nephrology, surgery, or related field.
+ Strong knowledge of kidney and abdominal transplant procedures, post-op management, and immunosuppressive therapy.
+ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
+ Empathetic, patient-centered approach.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Commitment to continuous learning.
Working Environment:
+ Inpatient hospital setting.
+ May participate in outpatient clinics as needed.
