    Job Title: Finishing Associate

    Job Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented Finishing Associate to join our production team. This role involves setting up and operating machinery to trim books, ensuring quality standards are met, and leading a crew to achieve efficient production outcomes.

    Responsibilities

    + Read job ticket and print out instructions.

    + Set up and operate a machine to trim books on three sides.

    + Make mechanical adjustments to the machine to accommodate varying book sizes.

    + Ensure quality by continuously monitoring squareness, size, and smooth edges of books.

    + Control product waste by monitoring downtime and minimizing bad trimmed products.

    + Inform the crew about quality standards.

    + Lead the crew by demonstrating proper leadership and providing continuous training.

    + Ensure each crew member performs their duties safely and efficiently and is capable of performing peer duties.

    + Maintain proper records, including downtime and job reports.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in production and machine operation.

    + Ability to understand and follow instructions.

    + Effective communication skills with staff members.

    + Basic skills in reading and writing.

    + Able to Lift 75 lbs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + General labor and production experience.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Versailles, Kentucky.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
