    The College of Education seeks an innovative and dedicated Assistant Director to join the Sisterhood Initiative (SI) team. The Sisterhood Initiative at the University of Washington Seattle aims to support undergraduate students through holistic programming, specifically through the intentional support of those who identify as women of color. The Assistant Director will play a critical role in developing and implementing curriculum for SI participants, as well as overseeing a research trajectory to assess program effectiveness and impact.     **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Curriculum Development and Implementation

    + Design, develop, and implement culturally relevant and engaging curriculum for SI participants, in alignment with the SI's mission and goals.

    + Be the lead faculty instructor for the Freshman Sisterhood Initiative Class

    + In collaboration with the SI Director and Steering Committee, develop learning outcomes for freshman and sophomore programming.

    + Develop and facilitate workshops, seminars, and other educational activities focused on academic success, leadership development, personal growth, and career exploration.

    + Incorporate current research and best practices in curriculum design and pedagogy to enhance the learning experience.

    + Assess the effectiveness of curriculum through student feedback, data analysis, and program evaluation.

    + Collaborate with faculty and staff from across the university to integrate SI curriculum into existing academic programs and resources.Research Trajectory Oversight

    + In collaboration with the SI Director, develop and implement a research trajectory to assess the impact and effectiveness of SI programming.

    + Develop research questions and methodologies to evaluate student outcomes and program impact.

    + Collect and analyze data on student engagement, academic performance, retention rates, and other relevant metrics.

    + Prepare reports and presentations on research findings for internal and external stakeholders.

    + Contribute to the development of grant proposals to support research and program initiatives.

    + Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in higher education. Program Support and Collaboration (10%)

    + Assist with the planning and execution of SI events and activities.

    + Help with recruitment for SI freshman and plan orientation and retreat.

    + Provide support to SI students, including academic advising and mentoring.

    + Collaborate with other SI staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the program.

    + Represent the SI at university and community events.

    + Other duties as assigned. **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**

    + Master's in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field and

    + Two plus years of related experience in education and/or curriculum development **Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration** **ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**

    + Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and implementation, preferably in a higher education setting.

    + Strong knowledge of issues facing students in higher education.

    + Experience in research design, data collection, and analysis.

    + Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    + Commitment to the mission and goals of the Sisterhood Initiative. **DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**

    + PhD in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.

    + Experience working with undergraduate students.

    + Experience with program evaluation and assessment.

    + Experience with grant writing.
