    We are currently accepting applications for a long-term substitute School Counselor at the Hill School. Anticipated Dates: September 22 - October 31 Full-timeNovember 3 - January 30 - 3 days per weekPosition PurposeUnder the general supervision of the School Principal:

     

    + Provide assistance and counseling to students who are struggling wtih issues such as attendance, problem solving, behavior, anxiety, school performance, etc.;

    + Assist in crisis management issues;

    + Collaborate with staff and provide information and increased awareness on issues impactting student functioning;'

    + Encourage parental involvement;

    + Take an active role in interpreting the school's objective to students, parents and community;

    + Assist and counsel students in academic planning, developing career awareness and post-secondary planning;

    + Communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty, staff and administration.

    Required Credentials:

    + Certification/License; New York State Certification as a School Counselor

    + Applicants must be fingerprinted and cleared for employment from the NYS Education Department before employment begins.
