Emergency Room Technical Assistant – 36 Hours – Days

Henry Ford Medical Center – Fairlane is a state-of-the-art healthcare facility located in Dearborn, MI, offering 24-hour emergency care and a wide range of specialty services. As one of the busiest freestanding emergency rooms in the country, our Fairlane ER delivers fast, high-quality care for patients with urgent medical needs.

Our on-site services include laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, and a Walk-In Clinic, treating non-emergency concerns such as fever, eye infections, rashes, coughs, deep cuts, and fractures.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Assist with patient care based on individual needs within the scope of practice under direct supervision of a registered nurse or Provider.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

+ High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.

+ BCLS certification required.

+ Previous Emergency Department Technician, Medical Assistant experience preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

One of the following certifications/programs required:

+ B-EMT

+ Graduate from a formal Medical Assistant program.

+ Completion of a formal nursing education program.

+ Completion of a formal medical doctor education program

+ OR One (1) year of applicable Emergency Room Technical experience in lieu of above

completed certification/program.

Additional Requirements:

+ (Must complete applicable certification/program within 12 months of hire).

+ Successful completion of a 180-day orientation period required.

+ EMT license preferred.
