    Coburn's Exclusive is a growing custom architectural metal fabrication shop in the Nashville area.  We make amazing doors, windows, storefronts, railings, and many other custom pieces!  We are looking for an experienced driver.

     

    At Coburn’s Exclusive the Driver / Shop Tech is the person who makes deliveries happen.  This includes loading trucks and driving to job sites.  When not making deliveries the Driver / Shop Tech ensures all tools and equipment are ready to use, that all materials are accessible and available for fabrication, and that the shop is clean and orderly.  This also includes assisting all shop personnel in each department, as needed.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES OF THE JOB

    Driver Requirements:

    + Is responsible for loading and unloading products into any of the Coburn’s Exclusive fleet of vehicles, and safely transporting those products to their destination.

    + Will assist the fleet manager in the regular maintenance of all company vehicles, and in addition to the fleet manager, will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of the fleet.

    + Will be responsible for making sure each vehicle is clean, and all straps, chains, blocking, or any other delivery tool is returned to its proper place after every delivery.

    + Will work with the fleet manager to maintain the proper inventory of straps and other load retention tools for the fleet.

    + From time to time the driver may be asked to assist with certain activities onsite and/or to assist the installation team.

    + Work with the tool director and project management to deliver and pick up all necessary tools to complete onsite work.

    + Executes the delivery of well-organized shipments of materials, equipment, and supplies to meet project needs, on-time and in accordance with project schedules.

    + Assists with the inspection, repair (as needed), and return of items to inventory upon return from project sites.

    + Communicates with appropriate personnel when tools, equipment, supplies, etc are damaged or lost.

    + Assists with the general housekeeping of the shop.  This involves duties such as trash removal, floor sweeping, organizing, etc.  This position also assists maintenance personnel in the upkeep of grounds and facilities, including management of scrap materials.

    + Works to ensure that production goals are met, following standard processes, maintaining quality standards, and all while meeting deadlines, and upholding safety regulations.

    Shop Tech Requirements:

    + Willingness and ability to learn

    + Participates in all requested job-related training and development, as well as taking an active interest in improving skills with other training programs

    + Follows all company and common sense safety policies, while using all required personal protective equipment

    + Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed

    + Ensures all company values are adhered to and promoted through leading by example and creating an environment of trust and teamwork

    + Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used in service shops (fork-lifts, gradall, hydraulic lifts, etc)

    + Ability to lift 50 pounds as required without assistance

    + Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professionalism in the workplace

    + Strong organizational skills

    Pay & Benefits:

    + Starting pay is from $22-$25 an hour.

    This position requires an authorization to work within the United States and a valid drivers license accompanied by a reliable mode of transportation to and from work (including jobs that are not located at our shop).
