•** **About the Role

As the **Activity Coordinator** , you will lead our **Activities Department** in designing and delivering a robust therapeutic recreation program that meets the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of our residents. You’ll create a calendar of engaging activities that spark **joy, connection, and meaning** in daily life.

You will:

• Develop and direct all aspects of the activities program

• Assess residents and create personalized and group activity plans

• Plan fun and inclusive events, programs, and community outings

• Post monthly calendars tailored to resident interests

• Supervise and train activity staff and volunteers

• Keep accurate documentation and track resident participation

• Partner with the interdisciplinary team to align with care plans

• Organize Resident Council meetings and integrate community-based programs

**Requirements:** HS diploma or equivalent (GED)AND at least one of the following qualifications:

+ NCCAP Activities Director Certification OR

+ Occupational Therapist License OR

+ Occupational Therapist Assistant License OR

+ 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, one of which was full-time in a therapeutic activities program

Qualifications are based on regulatory standards set by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) for long-term care facilities.Requirements are subject to change in accordance with updates to federal or state regulations.

•** **Additional Requirements

• High school diploma or GED ( **Bachelor’s degree preferred** )

• Valid **Florida Driver’s License**

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and assist with wheelchair mobility

• Willingness to work a **flexible schedule** , including some evenings, weekends, and holidays
