    Are you looking for a leadership role where you can make an impact within a great work environment? We are looking for a Patient Access Manager to support our Christian, Alton and North West hospitals with strong leadership and patient access experience.

     

    This is an on site position that will rotate to all 3 locations.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Role Purpose

     

    Manages front line leaders over multiple departments who are engaged in various Patient Access functions focused on delivering superior care to every patient on every visit.

    Responsibilities

    + Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.

    + Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.

    + Partners with Patient Access and Revenue Cycle Management leadership to develop KPIs, key projects goals and objectives Ensures teams adhere to regulatory and contracted payer compliance while optimizing patient access functions including, but not limited to insurance verification and eligibility, authorization securement, notice of admissions to payers, accurate collection of data elements required for admission and treatment, and patient payment collections.

    + Thinks strategically and creatively in applying technology to improve processes. Advises and recommends improvement opportunities to increase patient satisfaction and improve accuracy and efficiencies within Patient Access and Revenue Cycle. Contributes to customer service, patient satisfaction, and A/R goals and seeks ways to control costs without compromising safety or quality of care. Includes analyzing data and takes action, accordingly, to improve outcomes.

    + Drives quality improvement initiatives by analyzing department procedures and serving as the subject matter expert and operational consultant for other field based Patient Access operations supervisors and managers.

    + Maintains technical knowledge of statistical and data analysis and troubleshooting techniques to resolve revenue cycle problems or enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.

    Minimum Requirements

    Education

    + Bachelor's Degree - Business/HIM/related

    Experience

    + 5-10 years

    Supervisor Experience

    + 2-5 years
