Family Medicine Faculty – Kingston, NY
The Institute for Family Health, one of the largest community health center networks in New York State, is currently recruiting core faculty for our well-established 10-10-10 combined MD/DO program. The Mid-Hudson Family Medicine Residency Program has been a leader in community-oriented primary care training since its founding in 1979. In partnership with HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley and Westchester Medical Center, the residency program is an integral part of the health center, hospital and the Hudson Valley medical community, touching the lives of both urban and rural populations. The program’s faculty boasts a range of interests and expertise, united by the mission to promote wellness and reduce health disparities. The Position
Faculty of the Mid-Hudson program train residents in full spectrum family medicine within the context of community and public health. Comprehensive clinical care, including behavioral health and addiction treatment, is supported by our award-winning Epic electronic health record system. As one of three residency programs operated by the Institute for Family Health, residency faculty are afforded multiple opportunities for professional development and collaboration with our sister programs in New York City. Faculty are eligible for academic appointment at our affiliated medical schools: The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Faculty Responsibilities
+ Supervise, precept, and advise residents;
+ Supervise and manage selected curriculum;
+ Engage in scholarly activity and participate in research activity; Responsible for hospital based (inpatient or obstetrics) service and training;
Clinical Responsibilities Responsible for the care of patients at all clinical sites and programs as assigned supervisor, and ensuring that care of patients meets the organization’s productivity goals, quality performance measures, regulatory compliance, training needs, and research initiatives.

Kingston is located 20 minutes from Woodstock, 1 hour from Albany, and 1 ½ hours from New York City. This historic city has an excellent standard of living and many educational and cultural attractions, including the Rondout Waterfront District. Kingston sits at the foothills of the Catskill Mountains, which offer numerous recreational activities.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
+ Graduate of an accredited medical school and an accredited residency program in Family Medicine
+ NY State Medical License
+ Board Certified in a relevant specialty board
+ in Family Medicine by ABFM and /or ACOFP
+ Current BCLS Certificate
+ Current DEA Certificate
+ Effective interpersonal, communication, organizational, and management skills
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Suite and electronic health records ( Epic knowledge a plus)
+ Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus
