Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee the financial strategy and operations of our organization in the west end of Virginia. This role will involve managing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and contributing to overall business planning. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and leadership to drive the company’s success.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and present financial performance reports and cash flow forecasts to senior leadership.
• Oversee the review of monthly management accounts and cash flow statements for key business areas.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal tax regulations through meticulous monitoring and review.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Address and manage complex accounting issues that fall outside standard processes.
• Develop and report detailed budgets up to the group level, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Authorize supplier payment runs and monitor debtor receipts in collaboration with credit control and sales teams.
• Manage payroll operations, including reviewing and approving bi-weekly payroll and health insurance plans.
• Analyze sales margins and provide insights to enhance profitability.
Requirements • Accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) with a focus on attention to detail.
• Proficiency in NetSuite software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Extensive experience in financial statement preparation and auditing processes.
• Strong knowledge of budget management and annual financial planning.
• Familiarity with general ledger management and related accounting principles.
• Basic understanding of human resources principles and ability to liaise with HR functions.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
