Description We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in New Castle, Delaware. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who excels in corporate tax preparation and financial reporting. You will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate accounting processes and compliance with tax regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

• Manage sales tax filings and address any related inquiries.

• Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

• Oversee the general ledger to ensure all accounts are balanced and properly documented.

• Assist with financial statement preparation, providing accurate and timely reports.

• Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures.

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

• Analyze financial data to support decision-making and strategic planning.

• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies.

• Provide support during tax audits and regulatory reviews. Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on corporate tax.

• Strong knowledge of corporate tax preparation and sales tax regulations.

• Proficiency in managing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts.

• Familiarity with financial statement preparation and reporting processes.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
