Position Description:

Automotive New Model Launch engineer for vehicle programs. Launch new vehicle and powertrain programs in North America assembly plants.

Skills Required:

Responsible for the overall program management and delivery of new vehicle programs. Activities include but are not limited to: Issue Resolution, Quality/Status Assessments, Fleet (Vehicle) Management, and Budgets/Timing.

Skills Preferred:

Excel.

Experience Required:

• Managing the Launch Teams transition to the plant. • Managing Pre-Production Build Events. • Managing the ordering, building, testing, and disposition of vehicles. • Managing the Pre-Production Drive Fleet Evaluation Plan. • Managing Product Development change approvals ahead of prototype builds. • Gatekeeper for New Model Programs. • Leading the build issues management process for the cross functional program team. • Co-Chairing meetings and driving part support issues to resolution for each pre-production build. • Champion Senior Management Presentations. • Preparing and presenting New Model Program weekly assessment reports. • Managing launch budget approval and executing elements controlled by New Model Programs within the launch budget.

Experience Preferred:

• Program management experience • Manufacturing experience • Strong communication skills • Ability to be detail-oriented and highly organized

Education Required:

Engineering degree.

Education Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
