    As a Director of Strategic Planning, AIS here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in shaping the future direction of the **Advanced Industrial Solutions (AIS)** business within Solstice Advanced Materials, which Honeywell is preparing to spin off in late 2025/early 2026 as a leading provider of sustainability-focused specialty chemicals and materials, with approximately $3.8 billion in revenue. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives that align with the company's overall business goals and objectives. Your strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen will be essential in driving growth and profitability for AIS.

     

    You will report directly to our Chief Development Officer (CDO) and work out of the Solstice Advanced Materials headquarters in Morris Plains, NJ. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for a combination of remote and on-site work.

    In this role, you will have a significant impact on the success of AIS by:

    + Developing near and long-term strategic plans for the AIS business in conjunction with business leadership which drives growth rates materially greater than market growth

    + Defining growth and competitive advantage opportunities by identifying technology trends, portfolio integration and expansion opportunities and business model evolution

    + Partnering with senior leadership to identify and execute on growth and margin expansion opportunities, constructively challenging “where to play” and “how to win” choices

    + Developing frameworks to support identification, incubation, and assessment of critical growth initiatives to align with business goals

    + Identifying and evaluating inorganic growth strategies including acquisitions, alliance, licensing, and partnership opportunities linked to the strategic plan

    + Evolving strategy, business, and go-to-market capabilities by being a “player-coach” on critical projects

    + Conducting market analysis and identifying growth opportunities

    + Tracking competitor performance and market intelligence to drive in insights and identifying potential changes to strategic actions

    + Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align strategic initiatives and business objectives

    + Driving the execution of the STRAP process for AIS, including setting targets, identifying key initiatives, and monitoring progress

    YOU MUST HAVE

    + 8+ years of experience in strategic planning, business development, or related roles

    + Excellent communication and presentation skills

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    WE VALUE

    + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or related field

    + Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA)

    + Experience in the specialty materials and chemicals industries

    The annual base salary range for this position is $190.000 - $237.000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.”
