Job Title: Systems SpecialistJob Description
We are seeking a skilled Systems Specialist to start up, commission, and re-commission customer systems utilizing Direct Digital Control (DDC) technology. In this role, you will provide solutions to mid-level systems problems, troubleshoot system issues, and collaborate with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
Responsibilities
+ Deliver turnkey project solutions for small projects requiring 80 or fewer budgeted hours.
+ Handle unitary systems such as VAV, FPB, FCU, small AHUs, basic CW/HW systems, and front-end operations.
+ Complete all required commissioning documentation and maintain accurate As-Built drawing packages.
+ Submit paperwork promptly, including time sheets, expense reports, and project status reports.
+ Ensure total system operation from controllers to sensors, including software loading, trend setting, alarm setup, and report generation.
+ Calibrate systems using basic electronic test equipment, such as multi-meters and network terminals.
+ Perform mid-level static commissioning of software programming.
+ Conduct site-specific training for owners/operators on the total system.
+ Set up operator workstations with associated software and perform daily or advised job database backups.
+ Assist with project turnover to the Service Department.
+ Communicate with customers upon arrival and departure, track job progress, and update Project Manager.
+ Maintain a daily log of job-related activities.
+ Adhere to safety standards with a high regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
+ Maintain computer and networking skills for laptop and mobile device upkeep.
+ Understand the operation and control sequences of mechanical equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in HVAC, electrical systems, and building automation controls.
+ Field service experience in troubleshooting and commissioning.
+ Knowledge of BMS, TCP/IP, and electronic testing equipment such as oscilloscopes.
+ Experience with Siemens, Trane, and Honeywell systems.
+ Bachelor's Degree in HVAC with a focus on building automation controls.
+ Understanding of Automated Logic Controls and third-party control systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Automated Logic and Phoenix software, including WebCtrl, SiteBuilder, ViewBuilder, LogicBuilder, InterOp 3.02, Alert, Draw, EDB, Eikon, Supervision, and Accel Works.
+ Ability to handle multiple challenges simultaneously across various disciplines.
Work Environment
The territory for this position covers both NY and NJ. Candidates are responsible for driving their own vehicles and will be reimbursed for daily expenses such as tolls and mileage. They are not required to report to Clifton daily and can head directly to job sites from their homes. Reimbursement for up to 56 miles per day is available, including parking and tolls. After transitioning to full-time employment, a company car, EZ Pass, and company credit card will be provided. The role involves climbing ladders and lifting items up to 50lbs if necessary. Typical working hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with no on-call shifts required in the install group.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $52.88/hr.
