Job Title: Grit Blaster
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled grit blaster to expertly remove old coatings from gas turbine parts. The role involves precision grit blasting of a ceramic thermal bearing mat coating in a blasting booth, ensuring the parts can be repaired effectively.
Responsibilities
+ Perform grit blasting to remove old coatings from gas turbine components.
+ Work with thin gauged stainless and alloy materials, requiring high precision.
+ Handle blasting of nuts, bolts, and various turbine components.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in sandblasting and grit blasting techniques.
+ At least 2 years of experience in grit blasting.
+ Experience with blasting thin gauged materials.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong attention to detail and precision in handling materials.

Work Environment
The work environment is an open-aired, clean shop where the employee will work in a blast booth and wear protective suits. The current location may move within North Houston in 5-6 months, but the new location will remain close by. The work schedule is 5 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with frequent Saturday and occasional Sunday hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
