Salary: $30 / Hour

We are hiring a qualified Kansas Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the 2025-2026 School Year in Shawnee, Kansas! This is a full-time position, following the school district calendar, that pays $30.00/Hour and includes benefits! This position is with post-high school students (ages 18-21 years old). The School Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student/client care and/or contracted services in a school setting. The School Nurse may also be in a supervisory position within the contracted services. The School Nurse provides services in accordance with Amergis Healthcare Staffing's philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement and evaluate student’s care needs

Demonstrates on each assignment the provision of skill nursing care in accordance with prescribed orders/IHP

Performs interventions, treatments and medications administration according to the identified priorities as outlined in the IHP

Monitors and documents effectiveness of interventions, treatments and medications

Completes documentation per client expectations

Coordinates and facilitates services as requested between the school, local health agencies and other community resources to meet the needs of the student

Communicates with the school district personnel about student’s plan of care/IHP

Notifies District School Nurse/Amergis Supervisor /Parent/Physician as outlined in the IHP regarding the following:

Changes in condition of student
