    Cosmetics company in Riverside County is seeking a temporary Buyer to join their team. This role will be covering maternity leave, so the anticipation is a 3-4 month contract.

     

    Ideal candidate will have experience from the Cosmetics, Personal Care or Nutraceutical industries.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    + Lead, organize, and oversee the team’s activities in purchasing, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, services, and supplies.

    + Ensure timely availability of materials to support the production schedule and fulfill customer requirements.

    + Negotiate competitive pricing with suppliers while maintaining quality and service standards.

    + Supervise the creation and processing of requisitions and purchase orders, and maintain accurate records of orders and receipts.

    + Identify and evaluate suppliers for materials, equipment, and supplies, conducting interviews to assess product availability and sales terms.

    + Keep up-to-date pricing and lead-time records for all key suppliers.

    + Review purchase orders and contracts to ensure alignment with company policies.

    + Monitor market trends and delivery systems to evaluate current and future material availability.

    + Develop and enforce purchasing and contract management policies, procedures, and guidelines.

    + Contribute to defining specifications for equipment, products, or alternative materials.

    + Assist in contract negotiations and the establishment of supplier agreements.

    + Address and resolve supplier disputes or claims.

    + Manage online purchasing systems.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    + Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

    + Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

    + Knowledge of purchasing systems, industry standards, and procurement practices.

    Education and Experience:

    + Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.

    + At least 2 years of purchasing experience.\#INDBH
