    Job Summary:

    The **_Human Resources Generalist_** is a key member of the HR team, responsible for managing a wide range of human resources activities and programs. This role involves addressing employee relations issues, supporting recruitment efforts, administering benefits, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. The HR Generalist plays a critical role in fostering a positive work environment and promoting organizational culture.

    Responsibilities:

    + Coordinate and participate in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.

    + Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they have the necessary tools and information to succeed in their roles.

    + Manage and update HR Data including employee records, employee data, and job descriptions

    + Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance on company policies and procedures.

    + Investigate and resolve employee relations issues, including conducting disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.

    + Promote a positive work environment by organizing employee engagement initiatives

    + Assist in the development of performance appraisals, and employee development plans.

    + Provide coaching and support to managers and employees on performance-related matters.

    + Conduct benefits orientations and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries.

    + Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies, including maintaining employee records and handling confidential information appropriately.

    + Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations and communicate updates to the HR team and management.

    + Be involved with safety (SEAL) and continuous improvement (PEAK) within the facility

    + Other duties as assigned by management

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

    + 2+ years of experience in an HR generalist role or a related HR function.

    + Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

    + Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.

    + Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    Preferred Requirements:

    + Experience using SAP HCM, Success Factors, and WorkForce

    + Microsoft office skills, including basic functions and pivots in Excel

    + SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification.

    + Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.

    Physical Requirements:

    The Human Resources Generalist will work primarily in an office environment within the manufacturing facility. Regular interaction with employees on the production floor is required to address concerns and ensure a presence within the facility.

     

    + Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

    + Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

    + Occasional travel to other company locations.
