    Job Summary

    Applications are invited for a Research Investigator position in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Michigan Medical School, Ann Arbor. This opportunity is based in the laboratory of Dr. Akira Ono, where research focuses on the biology of HIV-1, particularly the molecular mechanisms that regulate Gag interactions with host lipids and RNAs during infectious virus particle assembly. Candidates with research experience in the molecular virology of HIV-1 or other viruses are preferred.     Required Qualifications*

    PhD in molecular virology plus 4+ years of postdoctoral experience. Prior experiences in infectious HIV-1 experiments, influenza reverse genetics, and PARCLIP RNA-sequencing are essential for this position. Experiences in protein-lipid interaction assays, proximity biotinylation-based interactome analyses, and capillary-electrophoresis-based RNA separation are highly advantageous.
