    $10,000 Signing Bonus for eligible new part-time and full-time employees joining UW Medicine** **Join Harborview Medical Center for an outstanding opportunity as a Dialysis Resource Nurse (RN3), 90% FTE (36 hours per week), Day Shift, with the Harborview Hemodialysis.

     

    The Assistant Nurse Manager for dialysis services will support, in coordination with the Program Manager for Dialysis and Transfusion, daily operations of the dialysis services, ensuring high-quality patient care, compliance with healthcare regulations, and efficient dialysis workflow. This role ensures that all dialysis staff are proficient in the latest dialysis techniques, protocols, and patient care standards. This role involves both administrative and clinical responsibilities, including staff education, patient care coordination, and quality improvement initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:** **Educational Program Development:

    • Design and implement comprehensive training programs for new and existing dialysis nursing staff.

    • Develop educational materials, online modules, hands-on training sessions and writing dialysis policy and procedures.

    • Stay updated with the latest advancements in dialysis care and integrate them into training programs.

    Staff Training and Development:

    • Conduct orientation sessions for new hires and ongoing training for current staff.

    • Provide one-on-one coaching and mentorship to nursing staff.

    • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.

    Clinical Support:

    • Assist in the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.

    • Be available to provide clinical support and guidance to nursing staff during dialysis procedures.

    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.

    Quality Improvement:

    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

    • Monitor and analyze clinical performance data to identify areas for improvement.

    • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement action plans.

    Research and Evidence-Based Practice:

    • Promote the use of evidence-based practices in dialysis care.

    • Conduct and support clinical research projects related to dialysis.

    • Disseminate research findings and best practices for nursing staff.

    SCHEDULE:

    90% FTE (36 hours per week), Day shift with potential for on-call duties.

    LOCATION & WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Harborview Medical Center Campus- Seattle, First Hill

    Work in a clinical environment with exposure to patients and medical equipment, lifting >10 lbs., ability to push heavy dialysis equipment throughout hospital.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor of Nursing (BSN)

    • Licensure: Current WA RN license

    • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a dialysis setting.

    • Desired Experience Previous experience in nursing education or staff development and current knowledge of Harborview dialysis practice.

    • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, Microsoft Office skills.
