    The Gananda CSD is seeking a full-time cleaner, 8 hours per day + 30 minute unpaid lunch, 12-months per year. Rate of pay is $17.08 per hour, paid sick and vacation time, 95% district contribution to an Excellus HDHP, and 12 paid holidays. Mandadtory fingerprint clearance required.

    RESPONSIBILITIES: The list of responsibilities represents typical tasks/duties and is not intended to be all inclusive or exclusive of tasks to be performed by the position.

     

    1. Wash windows, doors, furniture and walls as necessary.

    2. Shampoo carpet as necessary.

    3. Sweep and mop all tile areas, sanitize as directed.

    4. Vacuum all carpeted areas (spot clean as necessary).

    5. Dust all window ledges and light lenses.

    6. Mop gym floor with treated mop.

    7. Wash and sanitize all toilets and sinks.

    8. Empty all waste baskets, remove trash from building and clean containers.

    9. Clean and polish counter tops, desks, chairs, couches and other furniture.

    10. Wax tile areas as directed.

    11. Clean and polish mop boards, kick plates, etc.

    12. Re-supply toilet tissue, paper towels, soap, etc.

    13. Replace light bulbs.

    14. Lock and unlock doors, windows, etc. as directed. Report all miscellaneous damage to the supervisor.

    15. Set up and take down of chairs, tables, etc. for approved meetings, school events, etc.

    16. Unload delivery trucks.

    17. Provides and maintains inventory of cleaning and related paper supplies.

    18. Refinish gym floors.

    19. Opening up building for approved school events.

    20. Report daily maintenance needs.

    21. In emergency situations may be required to remove snow from emergency exits.

    22. Volunteers for duty on special events (after normal school hours).

    23. Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor.

     

    In general, specific areas within the building will be assigned to each cleaner.
